Problem with my HH Stand

Hi guys,

While I was playing halfway, the pedal of the HH stand (Tama stagestar) suddenly came out.

After fixing it back, the rod was no longer 'responsive' - when I pressed down the hats, the rod got stuck there. I removed the hats, and tried 'tampering' with it, still couldn't get it to 'shoot up' smoothly. Also there's some glue-like substance at the bottom of the rod.

So, is it really totally damaged already? Or....?

Need some advice/help. thanks! =)

Hey, after reading what some softies posted on HH stand. I went to dismantle it totally and managed to repair it! Now can use the money to buy other accessories.

Btw, i noticed there's a lot of that sticky substance inside the tube, as well as enveloping the entire string. That sticky substance is to prevent rust and reduce friction?

It's grease. I was going to tell you that it's perfectly safe and all, but I kinda forgot all about this thread xP

I don't think it reduces friction much. But it seals it away so it won't rust, yeah.
