I have problem playing these power chords on these frets. I play power chords with my middle finger resting on the E string to mute it. But when i play in these position, my middle finger will create a harmonic sound which can be heard quite clearly. Anybody can tell me how to stop this from happening.

Because your middle finger is actually playing a natural harmonic which is at the 12 fret. You can try using your thumb to mute but make sure you try not to play the natural harmonic at the 12th fret. It is one of the strongest harmonics so yeah it will be very audible.

Or simply dont strum the E string , or try shifting your middle finger so its out of the harmonics area, or something like that...

trying pressing the notes with ur index finger and pinky and mute the strings with ur middle and ring finger.

this is wat i do when playing power chords like these.

hmm. i agree with all here. you wanna mute it mute using thumb. but the best is still do not strum the E string. control your strumming motion.

i think TS is supposed to play a dead note on the D string as per abovementioned tabs?

use thumb to mute the E or simply dont strum E string which is alil harder.

ur middle finger should be muting the D string to play the dead note as written as "x".

damn i so long never read tabs. hehe
