Problem: Guitar sudden drop in volume

hi guys..my guitar is starting to show some signs of wearing out....whenever I play..there will always be a sudden drop in volume..then its starts to crack back to the original volume..and it leaves a very loud buzz noise...is it my pickups or the guitar's internal wiring..oh yes...my guitar is a squier telecaster custom 2 with dual p-90 soapbars...I got the guitar in jan 2005...is it the electronics thats failing? help really appreciated guys...thanks for viewing =D

Check if it's ur Gtr's jack by twisting your cable head in random clock and anticlockwise to hera for intermittence. If there is, get some contact spray on the insides (not too much) If the problem persists u may have badly corroded contacts and may need replacing.

The next likely culprit would be the pickup Selector. Toggle it back and forth as described above...

:)

Most Prolly IS your Jack, like just jiffy the wires abit.

Pickups, cables, Amp Input <-- Check all these as well

I used to have this problem too.. The jack might be the problem.. But check your pickups..
Mine suddenly no sound..

oh i had ths prob a while back ago.. i tried using contact spray on my switchcraft jack and it didn't really work so i used that black snad paper for metal and sand away the corossion from the jack meetal contact inside manually... works perfectly after that =D

u can check by removing the jack but if u do not know how to do it, maybe u could send it to sum1 to help u

If you're going to send your guitar down to someone, choose wisely. I've practically given up on any of the older guitar shops in Peninsula Plaza and Bras Besah Complex for any form of guitar tech work.

hi people, my toggle switch is kinda loose, like when i push down, auto pop to middle, any quick fix?

les paul style Toggle Switch btw.
