private driving instructors/lessons..

duno if this is the right place to post this, but im pretty sure that some fellow softies are/ have taken their driving lessons/test through private instructors...

any recommendations for good private instructors @ SSDC?? the skools rates are killing..kindly do some recommendations and their rates if possible..

Do note the 2nd link refers to 1st-time passers. I'm a 2nd-time passer but due to my own reasons, lol.

Some pointers to take note: Most instructor charge about $50 for registration I think? And $26/28 per hour. If you wanna post in HWZ, remember to state not only your location but Class 3 or 3A.

I did, infact I changed to my father's friend after getting pissed off by the first: Tan Lai Soon. If you go to him (esp his 5x% on the page looks promising), do note that he only teaches you when your TP test is near. He will ask other instructors to teach you for the earlier lessons.

Main difference is that, school lessons are more structured compared to private instructor (PIs). PI teaches whatever they think you should learn for that lessons. If I'm not wrong, you will learn the circuit techniques earlier than private learners while the PIs teaches the way around the public roads earlier than school instructors.

If you have doubts of your PI's ability to teach, you can always post a msg @ HWZ Car section to clarify. Most of them should be friendly enough to answer your question.

Money-wise, comparing equivalent lessons and one-time passing, learning under a PI is cheaper.

but it seems that most pi are at bbdc or ubi, i hoping to find 1 that test at ssdc. haha..if only the skools fees are not so killing..

i read somewhere that the association of some private instructor thing already closed. so only a few ppl are left as certified private instructors.
