Clearing things out..and this should be a sticky thread because Sweelee has such wonderful gear in their stores and a lot are interested but are hesitating to buy because prices may change.

First, i want to know if the prices on the website is the final price?
and is there discounts if an item is purchased in the showroom?

Guys who bought from sweelee kindly speak up

thanks

i bought stuff from sweelee a multiple times.
and the prices can and might change from the one on the website.
the safest way is to call them up to check for prices and to ask if there's any discounts.

cheers!

- prices do change over time but not much within the space of, say, half a year.

- best times to buy are during mid-year/end-of-year sales.

- prices on the website are same or very similar to buying from showroom.

- yes, there are discounts given for showroom purchases, but they are discounts on list price. example:

showroom - abc pedal's list price is $300. after standard 20% discount $240. with bargaining, maybe $225.

website - $240-$250 final.

better to call/had down to showroom. more choices, and room for bargaining.

The website has an offer of itself and those in the show room, has another offer of itself.

Bt usually, drums stuff in the show room has an offer of 20% off....

I still have to agree on goin on the sale....bt u have to line up the day b4.....take my advice man.....;)

don't bother waiting for sales and all.

i mean, what if something happens?

like there's a ban of sale of instruments in our country?

or if u woke up one day and go, 'aiya, why waste time buy instrument and learn music? rather go finish my degree and get a gd job, get married and have kids. cos those who go on and on and on and on about sales la, gear la, i better la, u better la, will be the same in 10 yrs time.

just remember one thing.

soft.com.sg will come and go.

but us? exactly, lets all come up in life together.

paper qualifications matter!

i mean, what if something happens?

like there's a ban of sale of instruments in our country?

then why are you here online on soft now?!
arent you 'wasting' your time??

and why the hell would instruments get banned
its ridiculous...
its like banning people from eating carrot cake or something..

but are we in bmt?

realistically,
its paper or experience.
which will u choose?

experience is hardwork and if ure lazy ure out.
simple as that.

and yah instruments can get banned?
cmon man.
maybe it'll be the day when i see gov putting erp gantry on lifts.

we all understand the importance of qualifications, but aren't the jobs around now looking for people who has more experience? diploma holders are like everywhere and they're having difficulties getting a job as well anyway.

i THINK BENEATH THE RIDDLED mystical way he communicates...he is saying that sometimes we wait too long and spend too much time reading up on gear/comparing prices/lusting for new stuff and not spending enough effort on playing. in the end people respect you more for your technique and musical maturity than yr shiny boutique gear.
I know.
I got plenty of shiny stuff hohoho

aiyohh why the thread deviate. hahaha and yea i don't get what krist is saying mann

plus who says you can't get the best of both worlds? who ever said if you choose to go for a degree, you can't enjoy playing music and talking crap with fellow softies and go for sweelee sales?
