Prices of Pearl forum or Yamaha stage custom

Hey guys, recently i've been wondering what entry level drumkit to get. So which of these will you recommend?
I also heard good things about the tama imperial star but im not sure of its pricing or how it compares to these 2 other drums in terms of build quality and tone.
My budget is about 1500 SGD, would really appreciate it if you could also recommend some retailers with resonable prices.

hey bro i am a yamaha student and drum owner of pearl forum drum.
I can tell you this, Yamaha drum sounds better. Yamaha stage custom snare sounds much better than pearl forum snare.

Pearl forum series is made of poplar wood. Yamaha stage custom made of birch. The sound really different.

I know its really weird i recommend you yamaha when i own pearl. I will not recommend you pearl drum unless you buying buying higher series like reference etc. You can get really good sound with just yamaha stage custom liao.

Do you have any idea how much a yamaha stage customs cost though? And where i can buy this drumkit

i saw it at plaza singapura, dogby gauht at about 1350 and above for stage custom. I think yamaha onli give you the drums without the hardware and cymbals and thrones and pedals, have to buy separately. Thats the impression yamaha gives me, EXPENSIVE!!!!!!

Pearl i bought at 1080 at swee lee bugis. got lousy cymbals and thrones hardware everything.

Anyway there got one staff very tall, chinese. He'll say to you, " you buy first then i show you the kit" haha. service sux to the core.

But got one malay guy, medium length hair. Service not bad

Thats very very true .. for Entry Level Kit - The Yamaha Stage Custom - for that price is one of the better one.

But for Higher Level Kit than the Yamaha Stage - choose - Pearl "The Only Reason" - it's nonetheless Pearl.llllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll - it really sound Better....and the Pearl Hardwares are solid man fo course depending on the Series eg. the 2000 - unlike Yamaha - same same Hardware - That 2 ball ball Tom Holders - - twist and turn (is easy and convenient) - but can get loose and spoiled easily too likewise - I have saw so many of this got spoiled in many Yamaha kits...Lucky thing is - you can change the - Balls
