Preview : Dream Theater Systematic Chaos

hmmm. i have the entire systematic chaos album demo already, it sounds quite good, except without vocals as it is an instrumental album..

ok i got the entire album already, dun hate me! i downloaded it, it kicks ass.. serious, nothing less than i expected :P gonna buy it when its out

haiz..seriously i prefer those albums tt were really more melody and filled with story lines and expression.. 1 or 2 album tt goes really heavy is ok.. but dun do it constantly.. we all know writting such songs are way lot easy for them.. haiz.. miss those days..yyy...

well i wun say it is rubbish la.. just that not as good to me... they are still great.. i bet many cant play what these fews songs already.. just that e flavour had changed...

i just got the "full album", heres my 2cts unworthy..

personally i feel this is an album that gives u the balls of TOT, with a touch of Octavarium diversity...it may not be *THE classic album* in the history of DT, but it has to be another must hav for DT lovers, because everything they churn out is *godly*

In the presence of the enemy : with the long intro, sort of overture, attempts to recreate the *balls* of SFAM. yes it has balls indeed.

Forsaken : So very evanesence. eerrgg yucks.

Constant motion : metallica again

dark eternal night : this time they seemed to hv tried too hard to reproduce watever made them famous, time signatures, instrumental, kick balls riffs.*tried too hard guys, tried too hard*

repentance : again another signs that they are repeating themselves a bit too much, "hello mirror soglad to see you my friend, its been a while"

Prophets of war : MUSE!#$%$!@

ministry of lost soul / in the presence of the enemies pt2 - *no time to finish up the cd, yup.*

having said all, i will still wait for the shipment to come, and buy them of course.

now you guys can slam me for watever reasons watevr comments...

As an Images and Words fan, I hate to say it but i tried the first three tracks and I didn't find it too interesting although I must admit the material seem to be written to better suit Labrie's vocal which to me stuck out like a sore thumb on TOT....

I would like to take the time to recommend that everybody listen to the new one by Symphony X, its called Paradise Lost. :D It rocks.
Russel Allen is the man when it comes to clean metal vocals...
