Predators!

Nah. It won't become a flame war. I can't be bothered to argue with Kamelot. If he can't accept that I have different tastes, and decides to liken me to Jonas bros and shit like that, fine. I don't care. You can't please everyone.

Anyway, my personal reason for liking AVP is that I've always wanted to see the Predators and Aliens face off. Granted, the job could have been a lot better done, but at least I was satisfied with the first one. The second AVP wasn't great at all.

Heh, you got me at Predator. I kind of like how they are going simple this time and not put in like the Aliens. I think too many species kinda kill the plot.

the reason why there were Aliens was because of the movie's interpretations of the Alien vs Predator comics/ game. this predator instalment isn't such an attempt, so were its two predecessor instalments.

SPOILER ALERT

the anticipated Predators movie is at best, palatable. the plot isn't fresh, it's parallel to the Arnold Schwarzenegger first instalment- a group of elite squad put together- by way of abduction this time- in planet Predator to help the natives hone their hunting skills. however, in this planet there exist an elite pedigree which makes the 'regular' predator we see in all the other movies, a pariah- the (brief) fighting scene between them proved just that. do not place too much hope in Lawrence Fishburne's 7min+/- appearance; there was no depth in his involvement in the plot (not his fault, yes?) so our treatment of this as a filler is inevitable. absent too are the Predators' tactical showcase. it's neither a let-down nor a thrill, something appealing to ardents fans, more like like it.
