Epi ZW/ Boneyard- namely due to good pickups/ playability.

Epiphone LP Special II...okay or an instrument to avoid? Me likes it 'coz it's cheap (and hopes it'll go as cheap as possible during the sale), the switch location and the bolt neck option. I don't really like set necks 'coz once you break it, the guitar is as good as gone...

when one has intentions to purchase an Epi LP, one would aspire to own a decent, set-neck guitar. there are countless other bolt-on makes that'll beat this one hands down, in terms of tone & playability (particularly the latter).

IMO you're better off without this guitar if it's not your first.

mellapong - My church friend has a gibson melody maker (1 pickup only - bridge) and he actually went to cut another cavity into the neck as well as added a pup selector switch. Did not cost that much, around $200+ inlcuding pickup. Works well =)

Today I went down to check the price of the Gibson SG 61 RI lefty, the salesman told me the price tag's an whooping $7K! or near to it, around 6+K.

On the sweelee webby, the retail price's $3.5K. But that's the righty model, I expect the price of the lefty to be like a few hundred more.

But it's like $3.5K more expensive!

WTFFFFFFFFF!

I mean even in the US, the same model's going for like 1/3 of its price. Even if plus shipping and handling fees and such, the price should be around S$3-4K. how can it be inflated 3x! This is fuckin ridiculous lah. What sales is this when they jack up the price 50% then call it a sale. Ballocks!

Save up a lil more for something else or get a humbucker equipped Squier.

They're more solidly built.

this is maybe my Nth time saying this: prices on website not updated. if you continue to rely on that reference & subsequetly find out the latest, revised price, you'll be cursing like our friend above (no offence).

it's B-O-L-L-O-C-K-S, not ballocks...

I guess it's my fault.. anyway I checked Guitar Gallery at parklane too, they estimated the cost to bring the same model in to be around $3k+..oh well I think I'll just leave it as that then.
