I bought a new 9V battery and just tested my Ovation CG257, plugging into my Amp - Cube15.
Sad to say, there wasnt any sound coming. However I can hear the "hiss" sound when I push the volume up from the Pre-Amp, but when I strum, no sound emits from the Amp... I have tested this guitar before on a Marshall 30W (I believe), no issues...
Before I decide to bring it to C-Music/some other places... I got few qns...
Did I killed my pre-amp cos I plugged into my electric guitar amp, Cube 15. I read in some other websites; some said it may, some said it's not possible...
Are there any other DIY ways which I can test whether my Pre-amp/pickup is faulty?
My Ovation is from the early 90s, using OP 24+, can it be changed to the OP 30 or other better OPs?
Thanks for any advice...
