by the looks of it, Page is definitely gonna win.

Kudos to them for incorporating parts of a Foo Fighter's song in their original offering. That was SIC! You guys stole the semis' big time man!

there are so many theories but they should nick it, come the final showdown in Zouk. but hey, if it's meant to be, it's meant to be.

Aurigami might steal it if they cut away the solo bits/parts and just concentrate on the verses and chorus or any part of the song that has the female singer singing.

so Aurigami members, if you're reading this, plz, plz, plz, plz, concentrate on areas of the song that surround your singer actually singing lines. sure score points!!!!!

she is such an expressive singer. besides, i don't recall any of the past winners actually being one, that was fronted by a female. so this could well be Aurigami's year.

how Madhatter got in, its beyond me. im speechless. i suppose it's based on the strength of their first round auditions.

the funniest part, for me, where the semi-final is concerned, was when the singer from Madhatter said the following with a touch of angmoh slang, 'the snare's goneeeeeeeeeeeeeee'.

this was met with one of the judge's reply. '........yeah, i mean, its the snare, its this, its that.........'.

LOL!

btw, the best drummer went to Page.

question is, does he participate in the drums forum or upload pics of his gear for all to see????????????

I wanna take this chance to say that i really have fun on sat at the semis. It's really good to see musicians coming together and playing a good set. Powerjam 2008, IMO, is a great platform for the local music scene. On a personal note, i'm glad to have made it to the finals and congrats to the other finalists as well.

to AznJT, perhaps you could show a lil more respect to the bands that have taken part. I'm sure they have all put their heart and soul into this competition. Instead of running your worthless talk on a forum, come out and play your music on a stage. Put your money where your mouth is. come on!

well if its just me, saying the snare is gone, i dont see whats so funny, when you're on stage preparing for such an important performance that may take you through to the finals..and sumhow the snare is gone. try being in our position..before you laugh it off.

about us getting into the finals.lets just let our performance at the finals speak for itself aite. its easy to say this and that.but we'd rather let our actions speak.bcos you'll end up making enemies, when all you know is to talk and comment.
anyway, madhatter is really honoured to be part of the finals.and we'll deliver something powderful and groovy, thats for sure. =)

remember one thing ... the music community's a small place in S'pore and we all should support each other - just as the kaki nang supporters came down last sat and supported all bands!

To the bands that didnt make it - don worry bros & sis -there will be nect year and / or other competitions ... take it from me, I've been in competitons since 1986 ... there will be good times & bad times ...the music goes on....

Yeah the 5 Bands that got in did really well, Congrate man ! .... and I'll be there to support them and have Fun at ZOUK at the finals.....It has to be good especially with ice-cold beers and softies and pretty faces around.

No Bands are lousy lah at Power Jam 2008, just that, there are indeed better bands there and most importantly we really have great fun didn't we?

The best part was the reporter chick who said, I paraphrase, "I've been all over Singapore to get views from YOU on the final!". WTF! From the video shots, it was obvious that she was at Timbre!!!!! My recollection is that there were about 5-7 interviews with folks at Timbre.

But the parting shot, after your interview, had you and I recognised bro zullio - there were many others but I recognised bro zullio, thanks to his EMO pix - haha - just kidding ah zullio.
