power supplies

I'm thinking of getting a power supply unit cause my onespot didn't quite work out for me. So i decided on 2. MXR DC Brick and Artec power brick. In about a week, my pedals would be korg dt10, kimjawbetta rutt, mi audio crunchbox, ehx micro pog and boss DD-20.

Cause I'm not sure if you're asking or stating your intension.

But do check on the power requirements of all the pedals, and make sure both or either of them can handle the total amount of power drain.

o ya. Forgot to add that in. I'm asking for opinions on these power supplies.

The DC brick - Dunlop/MXR is a good power supply.

Its somewhat like a benchmark - tried and tested, if you need regulated power supply, its what you should get. I would.

But if I was on a budget, I'd probably get the artec. It also has regulated power supply. But for aesthetically it loses out cause the power outputs are located on the top, so you have a lot of wires sticking up from the artec unit. For some it would be okay, but for myself, where the unit will be under the board, not as easy to place as the dunlop unit.

nope I beg to differ. THE benchmark is voodoolabs. dunlop dc brick I was told waste time only.

i could be wrong, but the dc brick's outputs are not isolated, meaning it's nothing more than a glorified and re-housed onespot.

voodoo labs is really the way if your insistent on having a different power source.

i think you should just keep all your pedals on the onespot, and the dd-20 with it's own.

except for the guitarist that uses pedals that require 18volts power i guess

swee lee brings in voodoo labs. but do you really want to spend 300 on a power supply for a rig of that size?

Just keep one hand on the guitar when not playing. When playing, your fingers usually hit the strings fast enough such that a sudden discharge(tiny spark) can't occur.

The BBE looks good though. Isolated =D
