Hi,

Does anyone here has an experience on multi effects buy from USA and use them in Singapore? I concern about the voltage as I think they use 120 V but some of the adapter allow to use between 100~240 V.

Any idea?

Sorry for reposting as I posted in wrong category.

Thats the risk you take, because you cannot be certain when making a purchase online.

If the online store have a query email, you can try to ask them. Remember, you don't know who is answering you, so the answer could be made to your favour to close the sale.

Most wall wart power supply don't have the selector switch, so you may need to source for a compatible one. Third party power supply is a risky venture, in terms of reliability and possible of selectiing wrong supply. End up frying the stuff.

Give your local dealer the benifit of earning a few extra bucks. He stocks it in shop, entertain you personally with the product, and give you some form of warranty. If its available locally, support the shop lah....

Save some small amount of money, end up taking more risks and putting our local dealers out of business. Think about it.

thanks for the advise.

It is not that I don’t want to support local shops.
first of all, the multi effect that i am looking for is not available in singapore.
I am looking for GNX4. Although it was launch couple of months ago, it is still not available.
Secondly there is a huge price gap when I ask the approximate price in swee lee.
If I buy it from US, it will cost me about 850 S$ without shipping and GST. Total cost will be around 950-1000 S$ after shipping and GST added.
I don't mind paying more than imported price but Swee Lee quoted at 1600 S$ plus.
So think about it.
Everybody know GNX3 is about the same price at BOSS GT6 which is around 700 S$. But sale man at Swee Lee said GNX 3 is about 1100 S$.

Pod XT Live is about 400 USD in online stores which is around 680 S$.
You can get Pod XT Live with that price in City Music.

Is Swee Lee really a Digitech authorise distributor? As they don’t have latest stock, they don’t even know when is GNX2000 will be available.

Or they mark up unreasonably?
