Position of Drum Kit

Hi everyone. Which part of the house (E.G. Center of the room or Corner or Right beside any part of the wall) is good to position the Drum Kit? To maybe soften sound that might affect neighbors done by drumming?

Playing "into" a corner can act as a trap but not space effective. Or play into any wall that has loads of uneven objects....however, all these is still not enough to stop your neighbours from complaining.....the most effective way other then sound-proofing your room will be muffling your drums...check out the thread started by rudimentaldrummer

A platform or thick carpets is recommended as well to lessen the sound from traveling down. As for position, if u stay in a corner unit, ur drums shld be in the room not facing any neighbours. Like for me, I stay in a corner unit and there are 2 rooms face the lift lobby. I use the room which is further away from the common corridoor to place my drums.
