Hi there,

I have a portable MP3 voice recording device and after doing my voice recording, I would like to transfer the file to the PC. Anyone tried that before? What software to do the transfer?

what recorder you using?
what is your pc configuration?
what do you want to do after transfering the audio?
what software do you have currently?

mp3 recording

the mp3 recorder is JNC SSF-512.

I am using windows XP SP2 with SB Live! wave device.

After transfering the audio, I would like to be able to edit the audio so that the quality is better with less noise level. I have GOLDWAVE software to try it out.

GOLDWAVE software and also MP3 player encoding software call MP3 explorer version 1.01.

should be quite expensive. One mp3 recorder already cost me few hundred dollars. Nevermind forget about it. Record into computer directly. Er...that should have to wait until the room quiet or noise-free then can be done, coz the problem now is this computer of mine is facing the living room, where there is TV casting, baby crying, people shouting...etc.

I assume the mp3 recorder does not require a software....so u can juz access the recorded files by clicking on the new removable drive icon that will appear on My Computer window when u connect the recorder to pc by usb...then juz copy the files to any directory u want on ur pc.....by the way all mp3 device either provide a software to the the transfering or u can juz access the files from the removable drive..

if still cant upload to ur pc..u can record the files direct to ur pc using line-in of ur soundcard..but u need a 1/8" stereo jack...i believe goldwave can do line-in recording..then from there u can juz edit it...

I have goldwave software. but the guitar recorded audio output produced not really good...very "midi"...when you hear it, straight away you can tell you are not playing guitar live. I also have GUITAR PRO 4, which the guitar recorded audio output is better, but dont get used to it, especially when you compose with tablature and you need to know 1/4 beat place where, 1/8 beat place where. I use GUITAR PRO 4 for recording strumming patterns, coz the rest of the software seems cannot produce tablature and also got strumming style functions.

if goldwave cant produce the line-in recording quality u want..i suggest u download free musicmatch software...musicmatch can do line-in recording..easy to use and quality is quite good..

Musicmatch only jukebox rite? Btw, I dont have line in jack on my guitar, so no choice, unless I go install one line-in amplifer with my guitar.
