Please Stop Fashioncore

It doesn't matter, never gonna happen in singapore(i hope) ... Instead, everyone's gonna dye their hair a weirdish brown color and leave it long and spike it and mohawk it and dunno what ... oh wait ..

eyeliners.. hmm.. i only got dark rings and eyebags..

but yep agreed. like that line I've seen on irc "you laugh at me because i'm different, I laugh at you because you're all the same."

haha..
i like wearing eyeliners.
with a straight face, ppl will give you that i-shouldnt-go-near-that-guy kinda look.
eh, just a thought. ppl dress up to be different right.
but now, it seems that their effort to be different has made them look similar, among fashion freaks. hmm.

lol. i agree with most of it. but i guess if its used sparsely then i think its okay.

like if you only put eyeliner and you think it makes you look good, then why not. but if you go all out with hair covering your eyes and girl pants and evrything, you're just being a stereotype of the scene.

basically its not wrong if you copy certain parts of what you see in other ppl, provided you honestly think its nice. none of us are unique, we are all made of different things that have influenced us at some point. you should be what you like, who you like, not what you think is trendy.

its funny because all these 'scene kids' have myspace profiles which read 'dont label me' and along with that, 'scene' pictures of them which contradict their statement. its not just the others who are stereotyping these 'scene kids' but in fact, them stereotyping themselves as well.

its not so bad here in singapore though, the community of such ppl here is relatively small.

Tribalcast, fashion is universal. popular is regarded as the general acceptance of the mass.

by de-popularising something, we are actually popularising the anti-popular.

this is the weird social concept we live in.

how should we dress? do you have any suggestion?

DRESS TO SUIT THE OCCASSION I SAY....

I wear cut off tee, shorts and slippers to studio.

Cut off tee, daywork pants & shoes to my club or pub gigs

Dinner jacket, cut off plain tee & daywork pants & shoes to jazz gigs

Day work shirt, pants and shoes with bolo tie and western belt to Country gigs.

I save a fortune on clothing mind you... 8)

Yeah.
Dress to suit the occasion!
Er, wait.
My F&N textbook is decribing about the life and death of Fashion...
and its RESSURECTION.

I think its "TOO BAD" if people wish to link the fashion scene to music genres.

wait.
Let me re-think what I've just said.
:?

Just dress as you wish. That's the pinnacle of coolness.
You just don't care, people laugh may laugh at you or label you emoshit, but you just, don't, care.

I kinda agree with what soft said. If it happens, everybody will be jumping on the "anti-conformist" bandwagon. We'll ALL still be on a damn bandwagon.

Let the kids be...

PS I totally dig guys with eyeliner. :P

If a guy wears eyeliner and plays emo punk music , we call him an emo pussy , but when a guy wears eyeliner and plays metal music , we think he is super cool...

why bother whut pple wear??...and i think fashion core is kinda kewl...whut if i tell all black metal pple to wear pink??..or ska pple to stop wearing those businessman suits and wear juz plain tee and boardshorts or something..ITs how we represent ourselves as long as we're happy..

cheers!
