I am very disturbed by the closing of various chinese pubs and tea resturants...I admit seeing a few closing down in these recent times...are they dead?..are they not as compatitive as the newly opened pubs we can find such as Drangonfly...? or has it got to do with the feel and the atmosphere that it has to change or improve?

I longed for some good songs of the past early Y2K (chinese songs) ...but to locate such venues are quite difficult...it seemed scattered and mixed...

I want to hear your views please... I had been thinking of these situations but never had the chance to write in this forum until now...hehe...

Have you checked out Lunar and Shanghai Dolly? They are at CQ and plays mandarin songs, pretty good but not my preference.. haha

i know of this newly opened cafe at clark quay area, inside the MICA building, called J cafe.I think there's music showcase every sat nite, mainly chinese songs. i thk the cafe is quite supportive of the music scene cos they are ok with letting budding singers have an avenue to perform, sometimes those music school's students would also perform there.
