Please recommend me good and cheap audio interface

Hi brothers. I want to buy audio interface in order to use software sound module. Now currently i have cp33, jv 1080 , yamaha mixer and speaker.

i will get new laptop soon. At that time, i want to connect all things, so i guess i need a audio interface.

Which model is good enough?

1. M-Audio Firewire Solo
2. Line 6 Toneport UX2
3. Etc

Maybe in the future, i also try to record and produce...^^;;

I'm a just beginner. help me~~~~!!!!!

Since you are using keyboard / sound module, you should put MIDI as one of the consideration in choosing the audio interface.

Midi is how you are using your JV1080 at the moment. You should now be connecting MIDI OUT from your CP33 to your MIDI IN in your JV1080. Your CP33 triggers the JV1080 sounds.

When you move into software, you want to control the CP33 and the JV1080 independently to give you more control. So a 2x2 interface is what you should aim for - connect your CP33 and JV1080 to your PC via the midi interface. And as James pointed out, you should get an audio interface with midi interface already built-in; otherwise you'll be using an extra USB port for midi. If you have enough ports, then it's no problem getting a separate audio interface (firewire) and a midi interface (USB 2.0) (since most audio interfaces with midi comes with 1x1 interface anyway).

Maybe in the future, i want to record vocal and keyboard but currently i just want to play Roland sounds in my cp33. That's why i purchased the JV 1080 after i got advice from Cheez ^^.

At the same time, i read articles that i can use software sound module by using external audio interface and PC. so i was thinking of purcahse of USB audio interface, however, i've got new advice to purcahse an audio interface with midi interface already built-in.

In order to control more than one sounds, i should buy the audio interface with midi interface already built-in but maybe budget can be a problem.

So could you recommend me any good MIDI products?

Also, if i need to buy USB audio interface because of budget problem, could you recommend any good brands? i mighr record voice and keyboard sounds.
