Please recommend me a great double pedal! thanks :)

Hey guys, I'm looking around to buy a double pedal for my drummer for his birthday and i really dont know how to differenciate the good ones and the shitty ones so please recommend me some double pedals that i can buy. My budget is about $300. If you guys can please tell us where we can purchase the pedals (etc. swee lee or .....) Secondhand pedals are welcomed too but they must be in mint condition and reasonable in pricing.thanks so much in advance

Great to have band mates like you who gift your drummers gifts such as these

Pearl Eliminator or Tama Iron Cobras are pretty standard and rugged pedals. They cost about 500+. If you wait for a swee lee sale and if you are lucky you could get it below $300. I got mine for $250+ during the sale.

just to update ar.. TAMA iron cobras at swee lee now cost $802 for doubles pedals, and i cant find the power glide. Went there last week. idk if a power glide is suppose to be cheaper. a TAMA cobra jr is ard $550 i tink.

Oh hey guys thanks so much for all the replies. Hmm, damn, 500 plus is suck a huge budget but i guess if theres nothing we can do theres no other choice... You guys really don't know any pedals which are below 500? Sorry to keep asking cause we're like aged below 20 so our budget isn't that high. sorry

If all else fails..check out Ranking Sports at Bras Basah Complex. They have Lazer double pedals at very good prices...reliable or not I cannot guarantee as I never used them before but they look reasonably well built.

Hey hi, the iron cobra jr double bass pedals are selling at swee lee for around $350 or lesser, and pearl eliminator are selling around $480 while iron cobra prices have raised to $600, so iron cobra jr might be a good choice.

dw 3000 are good enough, you can get them for about 300. i think iron cobra n the like are over-rated really. i've no problems playing fast doubles of Helloween, Blind Guardian, etc. not much practical diff. any difference in feel is mostly in the mind i think.

Althought the higher end models do allow for better fine tuning such as individual footboard/beater adjustments and the like.

Hey it seems you need a drum pedal and a really cheap and nice one. Well you can try Dixon pedals if they have one in your nearest music store. It should not cost you more than $200-$210. Good luck.
