Nalito ako sa Key of F kung I Transpose natin siya, ganito ba? F – Gm – Am – A# | C – Dm – Edim – F ayon sa step na 1 – 1 – 1 – ½ | 1 – 1 – 1 – ½ , tama ba?

May kinakapa ako akong kanta kanina.. di ko makuha ang tamang chord. Kailan pumapasok ang Am7 sa pamilya ng chords?

good morning..


tama yung F diatonic chords mo (or chord family).. pero mas tama kung F Gm Am Bb C Dm Edim.. ang tinuro ko kahapon ay Triads .. meaning simple chords..


yung Am7 kasama yun sa 7th chords group.. kaya magiging ganito FM7 Gm7 Am7 BM7 C7 Dm7 Edim7.. pero pwede mo rin sila i combime sa kabilang group


for example F Am7 Dm7 G C7


sa pagsipra.. trial and error talaga.. pero minsan may mga kanta talaga na gumagamit yung mga songwriter or arranger ng chords na nasa labas ng group.. most of the time 7th chord..
sa kantang "Love Me" ni Colyn Raye ganito yung isang part ng chorus.. F G C F G Am F G E7 Am F G C

dumaan ng E7 bago nag Am.. parang bwelo..

June guitar clinic

the last guitar clinic.. we discussed basic chords, or the diatonic harmony of chords (ang lalim kuno) or the chords group in different keys.. pano sumipra using this chord groups.

we had fingerstyle lessons, exercises for the right hand and left hand, in triplet, in eight note using combi of 2 fingers. like 1 & 2, 1 & 3. etc also 4 finger combi like 1234.. 1243..

we had scale application of pentatonic scale, blues scale and major pentatonic.

we also had modal approach and how to use this scary named modes. Ionian Dorian Phrygian Lydian Mixolydian Aeolian at Locrian. (believe me these names doesnt mean a S**t).. basta ako Noranian, Vilmanian, Sharonian forever.. yan ang best modes hahaha

we also had some lessons on phrasing.. as simple scale and simple choices of notes can sound good if phrased properly.. and we had a short jam, in pop and blues context

pwede pa rin magtanong dito sa thread.. see u guys next month for the next guitar clnic.

ang tentative schedule ng susunod EB-Clinic-Jam ay sa Aug 29, 2009. Sabado. 3-6pm
sa Shang Studios B1 Ming Arcade, Cuscaden RD..

mas focus ang episode na to sa Soloing and Improvisation,

3 to 3:45 - discussion on formula and theory of Chords
3:45 - 4:30 - application of Chords tones in soloing -Jam time
4:30 - 5:00 - how to phrase/use scales in soloing
5-6pm - application in actual jam in blues, rock and pop context

this episode is limited to 8 people ONLY.. para mas maka focus tayo at may enough time ang bawat participant .. at para sa mga intermediate players lang po itong clinic/jam na ito.. beginner might not understand most of the lesson.

I forgot to mention na meron tayong 12sgd per head contribution para sa studio fee, I think this is very very fair for 3 hour lesson,, inuman na lang after.. hehehe
