The Alcohol is the best...the stinging means that it is doing something! After a few days take the piercings out and clean like that, to really get in there. Also, remember to dry off the piercings after you clean them to avoid it staying wet and possibly getting infected....

seriously. it's very bad for the piercing. It stings like hell, and it dries the skin up, irritates it!
Use a saline solution [0.9%] and soak the piercing in it. Or if ya can't be bothered to soak it, then when you're in the shower, wash the piercing with hot water.
and don't touch the piercing unless it's to clean it!

Best thing to do is leave it alone. Just wash it with warm water when you shower.
Come to think of it, if you need help you can just call a piercing studio here and ask. Or if you're in Heeren, head to Body Decor and speak to the piercer [HP] there. she's really nice

eh lol. dun need all tt crap saline or alcohol. those pple sell to u just to make more money. wash ur piercings with water when u bathe la. if not dun fiddle with them n they will be fine la. yeah. dats wat i did. n my ears r fine. alcohol is not gd for open wounds btw. dun be fooled if wanna put alcohol might as well try salt. in other words dun la.

All you need is soap and wash it clean.
Saline does not disinfect.
If you really want to disinfect it for some reason, use chlorhexidine which can be bought over the counter in any pharmacy. Comes in blue or pink solution. Pour a little into a small container and soak it in there for about 15 minutes. Then rinse it with clean water. It will be sterilised fairly well.

yeah, they're healing anyhow... been dousing em with this unlabelled bottle of colorless solution the lady, yumiko, from the shop, gave me. it's aight. it's just weird that my lobe's takin longer to heal than the others.

Please be very careful about ear piercings. I wouldn't go for any unlabelled solutions. If it has any sign of infection (redness, pain), see a GP and get some antibiotics. You can get a bad condition called perichondritis - eventually will leave you ear disfisgured permanently, what we call a "cauliflower ear". Trust me, you really don't want that to happen...
