aussies are okie lah, i agree europeans are along with us alot better.

the americans and aussie's get along great. but asians dun seem to for some reason.

i'm in the kumpong area of aussie, very few hot chicks. and if they are some are hippie which means they dun shave a thing. el naturale baby. eeeeee

Yes it always nice to have more :smt061 Drummers in our Thread Discussion. I guess snowflier and all those that came to the 5th Meetup knows best - When it comes to Discussion...wah our Drumming Bros macham steady lah (very bold here)...when saw a :smt061 drummers at the meetup ...Whahahahahaha :smt040 all more than 3-feet away from them...pretty shy bros we have here - but all nice bros...yes.

ur right snowflier we do need more female drummers. i think we need to open up our section to include percussionist, noowwwww perc players i've met quite afew pretty alright ones.

Must beer always link to girls? Notice how this thread gone off track... 8O Of course we don't mind having female drummers joining us in this Soft drummers drinking gathering... non-alcoholic drummers can drink non-alcoholic drinks lah...

There is something I would like to bring up to everyone attention here – especially to every single members attending our drum exchange & meetup .... Now Seriously.

As we are all aware, we are now comming to our 6th meetup and meetups has had proven that through time after all these couple of months had brought many of our Soft’s Drummers/Bros here together...closer than I thought it could have been.within such a short time - and this is the GOOD NEWS….We broke The Ice.

so-much-so

Now - the BAD NEWS here is that because relationship was so-closed among each others - it is inevitable also that - sometimes we over-play though in a joking manner that it hurts someone (maybe some of our Bros or sis that we don’t even seems to be aware)...and If we are lucky - The person/bro/Sis will voice out what they are unhappy about (then we can settle the matter easily as we now know that this certain things we do/speak might hurt him/her and that it’s sensitive to them)......but on many occasion, we wont be that lucky - a bro/sis will keep quite (as many people tends to be more reserve) after feeling/getting hurt (though it was mean't to be a joke from some of us), what happens next is that - they don’t come down to our meetup anymore (if at it’s worst) - and nobody actually knows the reason as to why that someone all of a sudden dissapear? And worst still the bro/sis can get so demoralize to a point that instead of getting motivated to drum even more (by coming to meetup) now totally STOP DRUMMING (this apply more towards the younger drummer)…....This had Happened already and that's why I'm highlighting this up here for all of us to be more careful in words or through deed here in this forum as well as when attending meetups especially though it was not intentionally mean't to harm anyone which I’m sure of that.

Let us all show Respect to every member here irregardless of their age in the same manner (agar-agar ok liao – don’t overdo it) in small and big ways.... drummers are humans too and (they can get hurt) in varying degree due to the difference among oneself– this we have to realize and bear in mind……..Soft Meetup is for Motivating and Inspiring each and every drummer in their Obsession and Passion Towards Drumming, not vice-versa.

If you really want to know why I highlighted this – you can always call me at 97989977.

Agreed DH. Let's not turn this into some sexist sleazy thing here and scare away female drummers who should be treated equally. If I'm a girl, honestly I'd be careful to attend any of the drum gatherings if the guys always talk about "how to get chicks" topics here. I mean, the impression won't be good right?

Just my thoughts on this :)

how can it turn into a sexit thing? the only girl tht went was snowflier and like wat 3 people talked to her?
hahahahahah
eric , mel and me, thts itttttttttttt
screw it next one i'm calling some of my friends. hahaha

Blurred... just for your info... there was feedback some time back that there are a number of female drummers surfing this forum and found some posts cheeky and words used having double meaning and have refrained from going to the meetups... :(

well, if things get too serious in here & there're regulations to follow & stuff, it's bad as well cos i tink u guys wanna kip things informal & relaxed ya? thing is, knowing where to draw the line IS quite tricky cos we can't see other people's reactions unless they do voice out their concerns online. i mean, i get misunderstood all the time on emails and msn (or is it time that i go for an English refresher course?? darn..)

in the 2 mths i've bin on soft, i haven't really read anything offensive. but that's just me lah, can't speak for other girls. i suppose when u have a bunch of guys together, it's inevitable that the topic will turn to the fairer sex sooner or later. if i were gay or bi, i'd prob join in :smt081 but i'm straight so since this is not relevant to me, i jus choose to spend more time on the other threads. no biggie.

there r probably really sensitive as well as insensitive pple out there. i tink, as long as there are no personal jabs at anyone and the content is still more PG than R/X rated, it should be fine? cos i tink the really smart pple will see that while the guys here go a bit girl-crazy sometimes, they are also dedicated drummers with valuable experiences and knowledge to share  . so if pple get turned off by something they read in 1 thread, and then decide to boycott the whole thing, then i think that's quite sad cos they're not seeing the full big picture. their loss, my gain :smt003

oooooh yesssssssss, now thts a girl with takes some initiative. first drum lesson free for u when i get back!
true to a point if the girls are too sensitive i really dun want them in the forum either. i cld get bitchy real quick. eric wld have to buy them dinner and maybe sleep with all of them to calm them down. tough job it is but eric will do a gd job i reckon.

for the people who didn't come to the last one cause of sensitivity issues, i sort of understand. but alvin came down and gave some pretty gd tips.

Well said snowflier! *2 thumbs up*

Some of us just have to know when the jokes have become crass and disrespectful I guess. It's all good though. At least everyone is mature enough to sort things out.

Maybe there's just too much testosterone around here. We need some balance! :)
