Ok firstly I'm not too hot about your guitar, don't know much about it too. What I can tell you is you would get EMG sounds from EMG pickups, but without a good amp or good guitar you would not get a close approximation of your heroes. So is it worth the price is up to you and your wallet.

EMGs being high output pickups do give out noise however they are quieter then high octane humbuckers like the EVO on high distortion. The best way I can think of to help you is to use less distortion, which defeats the purpose for the music you play, or adjust the treble and mids from your amplifier. HOWEVER this just causes you to muddy up your sound and won't allow you to cut through a band mix. Unless of course that sound is what your band needs and is looking for.

The best way is really controlling everything with your hands and fingers. If you hear your favorite metal heroes lots of them are going full blast with a loud amp and/or pedals turned on, but they manage to keep the unwanted noise out. Sure they could use noise suppressors, but alot of it is how they mute their strings as they play and keep out unwanted frequencies from ringing out.
