Picks

Hahahaha

I dont get the scratching noise with the little stubbies.

2mm and 3mm are purple, while the 1mm are red.

They're excellent picks, in my opinion.

the translucent purple ones produce that awful scratching noise.
Try the grey ones. made of a different material that eliminates the unwanted noise.

I forgot to add that the scratchy sound will only surface if like me, you pick the string at an angle. I suppose you won't enconter that problem if you pick parallel to the strings.
I am only referring to the big stubbys. Never tried the small ones.

Ahhh yes the small ones are excellent!!!!

I especially love their tapered ends, so that when viewed from the side looks kinda like a knife.

It makes for great string releasing. The worst scratchy sound i got is from the Jazz III pick, due to its flat and rough finish. But thats just my own picking style. I know more than a few people who can use the Jazz III with no problem.

nothing but PGM white or red series..no more left in singapore....i just got my fren to get me 5 from thailand wahhaha!!!but friggin ex!

urgghhh.....damn typo. Guess I need some sleep.

I don't smear perfume on my hands before I play.... so no, my picks don't smell good

My picks will never smell good. All that sweat, oil and bacteria, urgh, god knows how foul that thing actually is :D

I find that the delrin dunlop picks wear out pretty quickly, about 1 pick per week.

wah, i never knew you people wear out picks and strings so easily.. come here than realised you all serious players ah!! before that i thot play strings until they snap is the natural way things go!

yeah wear out.. i have a really old jazz3 pick.. its so jialat already it looks like a jazz1.. hahahahah

:smt115 hahaha... then everyone should use thick thick pick, then slowly slowly wear them out... can last long long!! hehe. okie okie don't hantam me everyone! :smt075

I normally use Ernie Ball heavies but switched to Fender heavies recently. Anyone knows where I can still buy the Ernie Ball heavies?

its not bout thickness.. the thickness doesnt go away.. and jazz 3.. IS thick.. just goes blunt..at the tip..

^^can use penknife to sharpen?

i use the awe in one rock series guitar plectrums. It claims to give u 6 playing edges. which i find only 2 are useful, but most importanly, it gives u an awesome grip.

P.s can someone fill me in with the different materials and the sound/tone they produces?

i use plain metal pick...dunno how thick...but i like e feeling of it =)

i tried metal picks once and after a while bits of shavings from the pick got stuck on the pup's poles  ... after that switched to regular tortex 1.14mm

I like to bite my picks. I really like the D'andrea 1.00mm. I stole it from my guitarist so I don't know where to buy them. They're yellow in colour. Anyone know where I can get some? I might buy one whole bulk so that I can throw at people.
