well at that time i couldnt afford the custom 24 as my budget was only up to 3k. and also i wanted a maple neck as opposed to a mahogany one cos its got a brighter sound. and i dun really like set neck guitars too. but i do wish tt the ce came with birds but unfortunately it doesnt but it matters not now. anyway this guitar isnt stock anymore. changed the pu selector to a 3 way and added a tap on the tone knob. the pickups are a pair of duncan distortions and ive replaced the saddles with graphtech ferra glides. the other 2 guitars are totally stock.

ah sub. haha its a friggin gd amp in my opinion. but i didnt wanna get the head cos den id have to think of the cab too. but now im planning to operate on my amp. planning to remove the preamp poweramp section and create a new house for it and turn it into a head. den maybe make a body for the speaker. too darn heavy for me.

stillborn, is the epiphone worth the price u paid? I've heard bad things about it like being laminated with alder and mahogony or having finish which is too thick, etc etc. what do u make of such claims?

well i bought this used too, for 650bucks, the previous owner changed all the electronics pots, switches, pus(SD)...so i guess its a reasonable price for me...i've no probs wif the finish looks gd to me..but i've had serious probs wif the frets though, 'bout a month after gettin' it i realised some of the frets were "poppin' out" of the fretboard (no literally, juz tt i can feel a small gap between the frets and the fretboard...) so i had to get them hammered back in and glued...

now it plays really well, but the tuners ain't great(i'm thinkin' of changing them..), for epi stuff i think its pretty hit n miss, so if possible try out as many as u can, some may have probs some may play great...mine is a 2003 model MIK, i believe now epis are made in china? not sure 'bout their QC...maybe Sub have a better idea...?
