Phaser and Chorus Effects

Hi, any recommendations for phaser and chorus pedals?

looking to get something close to van halen's tone


using a peavey xxx and les paul
right now i can get something close to his drier tone in girl u got me now

anyway
how much the mxr phase 90 cost and where should i get it from ?

as for chorus im thinking of getting the EH small clone
any tots on that?

Get his sig Phase 90 which has the R45(?) mod.

If you can do the mod itself it's even better. I'm no modder myself. But I've heard it's not a very difficult mod.

The Guyatone MC-2 (Micro Chorus) is a nifty little chorus - and small, so it doesn't take up a lot of footprint space on your floor or pedalboard. Simple to use and not that expensive - you can get it at Guitar Workshop at BB.

I've tried the EVH Phase 90. It's a great *looking* pedal but that's about it. Apart from that it's overpriced and the phase effect is very subtle. Frankly I couldn't tell that much difference between the modern and script modes. Maybe I'm deaf or tested a dud unit, but don't buy it unless you are a total EVH freak.
