hi all.

just wondering if any of u are into/have done engraving on your drum sticks?

any idea where this can be done?

i know of one shop which offers this service but the templates, designs, fonts, size, etc is pretty much limited.

this shop is situated in Park Lane, beside Peace Centre.

its on the ground level and has a jamming studio too.

more of a guitar shop than anything.

By Left is like a few floors up.

any recommendations?

I have heard about the shop at Parklane with the sticks engraving services. Wonder how are the designs like?
That is so far the only place I know that does such customizations though. Will be great if anyone here knows any other places. The more choices, the better!

I would think any woodworking shop or even better, woodworking friend, can do it for you. Or if you're confident, you can sketch out a design on it in pencil, then slowly carve it with a sharp knife.

but i'm wondering tho... lets say we got those sticks that usuallie we play wif...
den i wanna engrave my band's name on it...

i play play play, den i pass it to someone else... or mite be a gig, and ppl wanna buy my sticks.. for watever reasons lah ah.....

will it be illegal, seeing that the stick's brand is still visible and i'm not endorsed by that brand...

i'm not a drummer, but the way i see it, as these sticks are easily purchased from any music store, zildjian, vater, vic firth or whatever. you can do ANYTHING with it, cos after all, you paid money and it's yours.
You could shove it up your nostril, and post a picture on the net, and if they see it,at most they'll just send you a very angry letter (which i highly doubt).
I don't see anything wrong with you carving your name or band name on the sticks, and selling/giving them away.
I think for the endorsement issue, as long as you don't go aroundtelling people that you are endored by zildjian, vater, vic firth or whatever, you're pretty safe.

hey!!! Where is parklane? Nearest MRT station? and hmm... anyone been there before? How much is personalizing and engraving a pair of sticks. Might wanna get some of my sticks done hahaha.
