pedals and batteries

Its got a triordial (spelling?) transformer... that pp2+.

If you put your wah pedal too close to it, it will hum... but... take your dirt pedals, a sensitive one like one with transistors, and... the hum's very minimal, if any, and there's hum only at certain spots... e.g. on TOP of the PP2+, little to none at the sides.

13 pedals with a 1-spot... does the 1-spot become hotter when more current is drawn from it?

mine became hot when i didn't switch it off after use... the plastic stickers just fell off... couldn't get them to stick again...

Outstanding explaination theblueark. Are you an electrical engineer or something? How much does the Vodoo Lab power pedal cost?

Is there a poor man's method of reducing the hum from pedals? ie. taking note of certain stuff, certain brand of hardware/daisy chain to buy?

Thanks

Indeed - thanks Ark for the fabulous effort you put into giving that explanation for the benefit of all of us. Very much appreciated. :)

Ahaha don't say genius lah, I'm engineer come diy enthusiast. Just my interest to learn all this stuff. That pic I did was thinking can put on my webby next time also.

My board actually has more than 13 effects if you count all them. A lot of them are stuffed into one box. I actually measured my current draw of my board before. It's only 480mA so theoretically the 1Spot can run 3 boards identical to mine and still have current to spare for disco lights :D

I can't recall if it gets hot. I'll touch touch next time and let you know.
