pedal re-house: opinions wanted

i just recieved an arger capricorn+ in the mail. i opened it up and realised that the circuit board is TINY.

do you think it can be rehoused into something smaller? the size (145x120x39mm) makes it a PITA.

4 pots control the fuzz, 2 pots control the MOSFET boost, and 1 pot controls the blend.

i wouldn't mind having some of the controls side mounted such as this photo

and lastly, any recommendations for getting the job done will be awesome maximum

shinobi, I'm quite sure it can be done. I believe a 125B can fit. 6 knobs on top and maybe one at the side since the 125B is quite tall. seekz can do rehousing. however rehousing is costly, so unless real estate is very important, try to bear with the large footprint

lol i actually had to google to figure out what a 125B was.

but man, i didn't expect it to be able to fit into something like that. i guess the key is the pot placement. i will have to think carefully about how i would like an alternative pot layout to be done, and then discuss it with a builder.

rehousing IS very expensive. i think i'll put it off until i run out of space on my board, or if i have some spare cash

chassis mounted items will severely limit the size of the enclosure.
125B won't fit 7 pots, 1 3PDT switch, DC in and the in/out jacks.

Unless you really really cram stuff up.

E.g

Using a 125B you might get away like this:

Vertical footprint:

5 knobs on the face
2-1-2 from top to bottom
Then footswitch

In/out jacks and DC in jack on the sides
You could then add the Boost and Tone for the boost side to be on the left side of the enclosure.

But if I were in your position, I'd just leave it as it is. The current footprint allows very easy knob adjustments.

You can DIY if you're not particular about looks, i.e paintings etc.
All you need is a drill with drill bits, a tapered reamer and a soldering iron and solder; for the DC input.

i don't think i have the proper skill or equipment to do a steady soldering job.

125B is excellent but something slightly bigger than that would still be pretty beneficial. again, its gonna cost alot. so i might not even consider it UNLESS i cannot fit all my essential pedals onto my current board.

then i would have to weigh the costs and benefits of rehousing vs. buying a bigger pedalboard
