hi guys im relatively new to guitars but im planing to invest in pedals effects etc.i came across a tube scremer.heard adrian smith uses it what is its uses and how does it sound like?

hi. for pedals, its best that u would go down to the shops to test them out urself. words cant describe better than what u will hear :D sweelee sells ts7, ts9 as well as ts9dx if they are still available

tubescreamer is somewhat a mild drive. so dont expect to go metal with this pedal. used for boosting etc.. like doomzz mentioned, step outside your house and go to guitar shops (i personally recommend ebenex :D ) and ask to try the pedals. don't shy shy ah!! :D

yea adrian smith probably uses it just to push his amp
dun evr expect to get his tone just out of a tubescreamer

whatever applications of the Tubescreamer made available in music literature, it's really half the story told. if you are about to tread the Tubescreamer path, first & foremost, be informed that it's not a scorching drive pedal as the name suggests. it's better used as an assist/ enhancer for the drive tone you already possess. do heed the advice to try this pedal in person before parting with cash.

do refer to the review database for the Ibanez TS808 review.

we've got the ts7, ts9, ts9dx, ts808 all in stock.

i'd suggest you drop by to try them out for yourself.

Kinda depends wat amp you're using as well ...

tubescreamers can sound terrible on a solid state amp ...
But still ... personal preferance .. some ppl like it...
:)

that's true- the Tubescreamer wasn't conceived with a supplementary solid state circuitry in mind. nevertheless, it works just as well but it's acquired taste.

i get good results plugging the TS into my CRATE Powerblock 8)

hello, i was wondering which other essential pedal comes after a DS-2, DD3 and wah? cos im thinking of getting another but i cant really make up my mind on which is more essential and impt =(

pls help.

True ...
a chorus does give u a different sound ...

But ... coz it's a SS amp ...
i feel a modded CS3 is better ...
get Fatter, fuller cleans ...
and at least when you play with ur wah ... the volume doesnt make you go deaf ~

which pedal more essential? depends on your needs.

for those of us who give equal billings to drive & clean tones, a chorus unit would be recommended.

also, if you play at home utilizing a small practice amp, if it's reverbless, that's another pedal to consider.

if you want an immediate effect in frequency changes, the EQ is a good pedal to employ.
