pedal boost?

-EQ pedals
-SD pickup Booster
-TS Series (TS7 is versatile)

Tweak your GT2 to make it less heavy.

What guitar (along with its electronics) are you using?

Duncan's pickup booster isn't recommended for boosting a primary pedal/amp. if you think your single coil pickups need a boost to be humbucker-like, if does this job fine.

It mainly depends on the tone it started from, and thats from your GT2. But even then, the mids from the TS7 cant save your lead tone's 'thiness' if you mid scoop that much, with the setting you said earlier use on the GT2.

Trust me, Im a metalhead just like you, and I used to scoop my mids. I dont do that now. Mids isnt sellout mang! Add a healthy dose of it in!

btw, this is my "portable" rig, on a ghetto pedalboard stored inside a laptop bag.

All I need for a hi-gain metal chug. (but of course i prefer my 5150 at home :D )

yea i started using the hi gain already. as what u said. so with the ts7 as u said. wif the hi gain options i will get a better lead tone?

The way i use it, is simply a volume boost, with a slight cut of the treble(tone control). No extra gain added. TS7 also has that mid bump to it so it does help in a way. I'd say yes, in a sense, it'll help you cut thru more.

But still, your GT2 plays a more important part than the TS7. I can use the same setting on the GT2 by itself and still get nice lead tones. Especially when it comes to double leads/harmony when no boosting is required.
