Pedal board with power conditioner

Hi all,

I've been using a Digitech GNX3 for a few years, and I want to move over to individual stomp boxes. I'm looking for a pedal board with a built in power conditioner - something along the lines of the Furman SPB-8C ( http://www.furmansound.com/product.php?id=SPB-8C ). Unfortunately, it won't accept Singapore's 220-240 volt juice. Does anybody know of something similar that we can use here? Furman makes standalone power conditioners that I could always use in addition to a regular board, but I'd much rather have everything in one case.

Thanks in advance for any thoughts anyone might be able to share!

Furman has a local dealer who will be able to supply you with 220v versions..however singapore's power is pretty clean and consistent and there's no real need for power conditioners..i use mine mainly for convenience (switching off multiple rack units at once,no messy power strips etc) and touring..

Hi unsane.

Mind sharing who the dealer is? I checked with the SG's dealer listed in Furman's website, they told me that they don't carry that product cause of voltage issue.

Thanks for replying, Unsane. I don't think it's a matter of Singapore's power being clean or unclean; I think it's more a matter of the wiring/electrical system in a particular home/club/bar/jam studio. A lot can happen to a current between the street and your gear. I'd rather be safe than sorry, and I want to do whatever I can to minimize noise.

Yeah - I checked with the local Furman dealer, too. They do carry 220v power conditioners, but I was really hoping for the pedal board rig with the power supply built in. They said the 220v version was discontinued a few years ago. I may just have to build my own incorporating a standalone conditioner, or buy some other brand of board and power that through a standalone Furman unit. Or I can just quit being a nancy and use the same pedal boards everyone else is using...

Thanks again for chiming in. Any other thoughts?

Thanks gsonique. Those things are pricey. Do you use a power conditioner?

Good call with the "'alien technology' descriptions," by the way!

No lah ...my equipments are pretty basic.
I just randomly found that on the net ...:)
For home recording should not be an issue ...just be careful not to switch on lights, water heater etc whilst recording as you get 'pop' sound and other unwanted intruders into your recording.

Here is a thread on power conditioners.
