Peace Drums!

Just a little review! I've just purchased a set of Peace DNA from EZI Music for my school. Now, this has gotta be the best taiwan built all maple kit! The hardware is really awesome. Cadeson doesn't even come close! The drums are easy to tune and they sound really good when tuned high or medium low (10", 12" 14", 14" snare and 20" bass). The atomic finish is just fabulous! If anyone's into a budget (way cheaper than Cadeson) all maple kit.....with no comprise on finish and hardware (real heavy duty)...GET THE PEACE!!!!!!!

Call me if anyone wants a demo!!!! Hahaha....

It will not sound accurate whether I run through my recording studio or a simple MD player....hearing it live is the best.

I've bought a PDP CX set for my school in Melbourne and trust me.....Peace is much better. Just the suspension hoops alone, they are more superior. The CX suspension hoops have too much "give" which make it quite difficult to adjust for desired angles. The finish of PDP doesn't even come close.....looks cheap when compared to Peace. The Peace has much better tunabilty too. Tuning the floor tom (which is one of the hardest tom to tune) was a breeze and the skins the kit comes packed with are much better too. The best part is....its much cheaper than PDP!!!

I can't actually post the price up.....so please PM me. Tks.

As for styles of music.....choose the fusion size (10, 12, 14, 14 snare, 20 Bass). With the 20" bass drum, it is much easier to play a variety of styles. I play all kinds of styles and versality is really not an issue with Peace. However, if you want a deeper end for metal, you might want to consider adding a 16" floor. By the way, the pedal kicks arse too!! Great quality and really easy to play. PM me if anyone needs a demo!

yeah man! peace rocks! haha.. i'm actually currently using the peace demolition. haha.. its damn sweet ya.. so i know what you are talking aboout man.. too bad peace only has a limited range and the hardware is only average

The hardware for demolition is average (according to Ricky from EZI Music) but what came with my school's DNA is great. The stands are really heavy and the legs are huge and sturdy.

Anyone tried the peace nitro double pedal before? its seems budget and good for a double pedal comparing to stuff like iron cobras

haha i own them. erm i feel that they are very smooth.. slightly not as smooth as the cobra only.. but good i feel

ok alright.. just too bad the resale value of the set is damn low man.. not tt famous.. haha

The resale value of most drums are very low....not just Peace. With Peace, you're actually luckier, cos you've paid lesser than most from the start!

yea, lets go influence more ppl to become drummers :P
no wait, then we wouldnt be unique and minority anymore >< (which makes us special ^^)

yeah they sound rocks. very cutting through.. loud and power... yup.. i think it will be damn good for gigs man.

Haha....actually drummers are the majority!! Modern Drummer Mag is one of the largest music mag in the world. We have the largest variety of "tools". Drum festivals make up the majority of music festivals.....there're more drummers than anything else!

hmm...but i think drummers are minority in singapore though, cuz firstly, most ppl live in HDBs which doesnt really encourage the owning of drums,2ndly,drums are rather costly to the people here, not like in the US or in europe whereby ppl have a higher standard of living

thats why most ppl in singapore go for other instruments such as guitars etc. even though they might be interested in drums.Another reason might be due to their parent's influence.they will probably ask their child to learn something less noisy and to their preference - piano, acoustic guitar, violin or something...
not like parents in foreign countries where they are rather more open minded and are willing to allow their child to explore new things

bottomline: its mainly due to the cultural difference..

churnz

Actually, drum and electric guitar students make up the largest number in local music schools! (Not counting classical instruments of course)
