Paramore @ Fort Canning Park 17/6

and by that i assume no local bands would ever play at fort canning then . haha

Don't bother replying to that sort of thing. Watch when paramore does come down, and the whole venue gets packed to the brim.

I doubt they're coming anytime soon though.

To really pull off a Fort Canning Concert you need one of two factors

1) novelty value for the event - means ppl will pay high ticket prices.
Basically means this is the only chance to catch the band.
The condition here is that the band must have at least 2000 fans in Singapore who actually care that the band is playing

2) The other option is to have a huge amount of money to burn which allows you to put up the show for free then you use additional incentives to draw ppl.

Why local bands can't really pull off is combination of the above
little novelty value as the band is probably playing somewhere else in Singapore later in the month
And of course not much money also! honestly how many ppl can afford to throw away $100000

YES! that's why there are a couple of different venues to play at in Singapore, to cater to different kinds of bands.

lol, it's not an insult for i'm a fan of Paramore too. but compare Paramore's fanbase with the likes of Muse if you want to know what i mean. They should hold the concert somewhere smaller and packed. Like Anberlin/Copeland and Funeral For A Friend at the Glass Pavilion.

And you asking me to watch Fort Canning get filled to the brim when Paramore comes? I've been to 20 over concerts and never have i seen 7000 aged from 25 and below in a concert alone. And i know it won't happen with Paramore. Even though they have quite a fan base here, but filled to the brim like Muse, never in a million years would i dream of that.

paramore's fans are mainly young generation. and mayb they can draw in around 3000-5000.

muse's performance was...filled with people from young and old, people dressing differently (the metal fans, indie fans etc. sorry to stereotype, but u get my idea). hence, the full house
