Overseas voltage issues

I will be flying off to Rome and Amsterdam late next month and I'm thinking of bringing my Zen Micro along with it's AC/USB charger along.

Anybody knows what is the voltage rating of both Rome and Amsterdam? Is it higher or lower than Singapore? Any advice to give in terms of the safety aspects when bringing asian electronical equipment over to western countries with a different voltage rating?

Cheers

Yeah that's what I'm most concerned about. I have a spare battery for my Zen and since it's Europe , the aeroplane and tour bus journey rides are usually counted in hours.... :?

Dude,
It doesn't matter - your Zen Micro charger is dual voltage (110 -240V), so you'll be able to use it anyhwere in the world. You just need an adaptor so that you can plug your power supply into their power socket. Do a google check over the internet to see what kind of adaptor you need, you can get it easily at Sim Lim. I was in Amsterdam in April...awesome.

In europe is usually two point plugs. I charged my mp3 in holland without adaptors and it was fine. I never seem to use adaptors when overseas. LOL
hope im not destroying my handphone or anything.

the voltage in europe and singapore is the same. the only converter you need to get is for the different pins for the plug.

as petrina_123 has mentioned - in europe is usually two pin plugs. and to your conconcern about destroying your HP. nope it won't. :)

have fun.

Hmmm thanks for the input guys!

I think I shall hop down to Sim Lim Square soon to get the adapter. How much does it cost by the way? If it is cheap I would get more than one cause I wanna bring my laptop there as well!!!!

Hmmm...what is Amsterdam like? Do they sell legalised weed?

Alright I'll check with my dad first whether he has such adapters.

I thought Holland was the only country in the world that legalises drugs? the "soft drugs" that is....

Any tourist attractions in Amsterdam?

My dad was there more than 20 years ago and he told me about Amsterdam having the biggest Zoo in the world so much so that it can take you as much as 3 days to tour the entire Zoo 8O

The adapter is cheap.

Amsterdam is one of my favourite cities in the world. The red light district is one of a kind, and the canals are just beautiful. CDs are expensive, though. Well, enjoy your visit mate.
