Over Drive and dist combo

haha, i believe prices in Singapore are overpriced BUT, you do have to account for the warranty :) So difference in price is actually covered by their service, shipping, warranty etc..

Anyways, tehre are loads of rare and boutique pedals that Singapore hasnt come across yet.

Also, if you're thinking of getting the MAB, i think the Alberta or the Mudhoney are better options. :)

hmm, i dun think they do from experience. They're very different pedals, sure they can be used to boost other pedals, but rarely do i see them stacked together. The transparency of the ts808 would clash with the crunch from the ds1, you wouldnt be utilising the two pedals properly.

david barber stated on his website:
We are committed to musician friendly pricing and do not engage in extreme Boutique pricing, We also do not use the title "Boutique" to sell pedals, our products are simply hand made.
i LOVE his products though. non boutique prices for boutique quality

anyway, bobster, u're right, the ds-1(just not the MIT stock one please) is brilliant for chord work, but it lacks the sustain as a standalone lead pedal. to me, it works really well as a boost. the tubescreamer is known for that mid hump so it excels as a boost too. in fact i prefer an ts-9 as a boost rather than the ds-1.

do u have a klon, bobster?

argh.. klon!! omg, no man, not currently anyway, heard of its mid hump goodness. hmm i never tried the ts9 as a booster before. Only the ts808. The poor man version of the klon are the older menatone red snappers though. Just call me bob btw :)

Do you have a klon?

of course not! to me it seriously seriously is not worth the money. when u're playing live will the crowd happen to know u just stepped on a pedal worth its weight in gold, compared to say, a guitarist that stepped on a cheaper and good mi audio boost n buff? kay i was exaggerating but u get my point? to me, its only worth the money if it inspires you to play better. but seriously. dont need a klon to get good tone.. there are a thousand other ways to get good tone. tone is subjective anyway.

i wont spend such money like that.

i see the hype of tgp its driving me nuts. hahah.

haha, well, its more than the tone that their after, its also because of the collectors value. Many angmoh's like to collect vintage pedals :). Its a great boost and a transparent od with the mid hump. Touch sensitive etc.. But does it justify the price?! Certainly not.. Prices of it have been sky rocketting though. What are your drives now?

For me, i'm attracted to both the quality and value of the pedals i buy and test. More importantly, i really hate tone suckers!! Haha

menatone top boost in a can, the latest version and a barber ltd. i've got a indyguitarist plextortion undergoing some gut revamp. i liked its very convincing plexi voicing.

i'm very satisfied with my drive section actually. esp the tbiac.

nice the tbiac should sound great. i'm getting a fish factory from a fellow softie soon, should be great as well. Menatone all the way! Whats your amp?

vox ad30vt.. very nice practice amp! really. i prefer to the roland cube.

me gonna save up for a vintage modern soon.. need moolah

haha nice, i'm using a voxad50vt, looking to upgrade in future though, to do my pedals and guitars justice :) anyway, to assist the thread maker, he could get barber stuff or the ibanez reissues. Sorry for hijacking your thread bro.
