Hi I'm back again.
Just asking anyone been through with an ovation guitar before?
They used to say they sound horrible unplugged.
Was supposed to get the yamaha FG730s today, end up there's no more stock and the colour I want.
So I guess I'm going end with either an ovation cc44 or custom acoustic FG37E at City Music.
Anyone :O happens to have a cc44 b4?
Some advices and help please.
Going down try soon.
Thanks!

Haha okok. I'ma add one more to my choice the maestro ep1.
The samples clip sound very nice!
Hope the real one sound even nicer ;D.
So going go down and try.
Was busy with work no time.
I ask abt ovation cos seems like no one ever talks abt it.
Nvm forget it.

they used to be very famous. probably because malmsteen shreds on one while playing Blackstar. nowadays, although most people are buying acoustics, they will be looking at brands like martin or taylor. at least thats what i've noticed.

ovation isn't bad or good, its just different. Pick up one at the city music store and play a martin at the same store. The difference in tone and feel should be quite obvious from the first strum. Just pick the one u like better. What i like about ovation is its convenience. Most models would have a built in tuner and every model allows u to plug in, no need to buy pickups. Also i dislike the pin bridge used on most acoustic guitars.

Ovations are unique. I absolutely love them, but due to the uniqueness, not everyone will like Ovations. Thus Ovation doesn't have as wide a fanbase as Taylor and Martin do. It's an acquired taste to some extent... You gotta try them out and see.

Haha. I got my guitar already.
I tried the ovation but I don't really like it.
The sound and the body feel.
But it still a nice guitar. Just my preference, I still like normal dreadnought body.
In the end, I end up with a maestro ed-01 :).
Thanks for the replies anyway. TYVM!
