Orange amps?

Hi all, what's the craze about Orange amps? I don't know much about them, are they very good amps? What features do these amps have? Sorry for my noob question. Thanks for the help

but their solid states are good...for solid states. like the lowest end crush 10, etc.

i personally think that orange amps are good..

i've tried it myself when a friend bought this orange amp back from overseas. i'm not sure the one i tested is a tube or solid state..

Orange, together with Marshall & Laney has that distinctive British drive voicing which you'd love/ hate (referring to tube units here). the average Orange amp costs more than the latter brand names.

or you can try blackwood guitars or orangeguitar.blackwood is gonna carry these amps soon.i have a tiny terror myself, and its good for that price,sort of a boutique amp,sounds like a marshall,and its loud esp with a 4X12.but i still prefer my marshall

I've never tried an Orange amp before, but the prices put me off.

Nothing against boutique gear, but if anything happens to them (stolen, spoilt, etc), I certainly won't be very happy. That's why I don't like to have expensive stuff.
