Orange Amps

If you'r planning on the TT, consider the new Vox Night Train a viable alternative. At 600 bucks, its quite a no brainer compared to the TT, which retails for 900 at Yamaha.

The cleans are so much better and it takes pedals much better than the Orange imo. The Orange has a slightly crunchier overdrive tone but nothing a TS-type pedal cant fix for the Night Train.

orange amps are like halfway into the boutique section. they are priced such a way for they are more exclusive. for vox and marshall, you see them around almost everywhere. it also depends on where are you getting the amp from and the style that you play. of course your budget and what do you really need

Coincidentally, im also looking at this 2 Amp models. can anyone help me out here? i need to get a practice amp. i play all types of punk and metal. and i need to decide on the MG15CDR or the Crush 15. i have enough funds to fund for either one and im gonna be running pedals through it. so which one is a better amp which takes pedals really well. i dont really wanna look at the vox & Fender & Roland Models ( Sorry if im being a douche )

well, if u want to think like this, then thats too bad for u. i dont know whats ur reason for ruling them out, but i'm gonna assume its really really stupid.

ah okay, my bad, exception for the fender ( their really good with pedals right? ) But i'll need it to be 15 watts not more. can you recommend me a 15 watt Fender which will sound as good as its older brothers?

the rest of the amps u mentioned are also very good amps.

i personally dislike the marshall mg series and i think the orange crush is very overpriced. i think u're just paying for the orange tolex.

a fender frontman 15r would be great. however i dislike its built in drive. but when u play it with pedals.. whoaaa nice shit.. best cleans for a 15w solid state i've tried. thats why its a superb amp.

Any metal bands use fender amps for gigs? ( just curious )
About the Marshall MG , couldnt really get a true opinion, reviews are 50/50 some say its shit some say its good. when i tried it out. kept thinking about the reviews and which side to agree on. so while i was trying it , its was good & shitty at the same time. lol.
and the orange amp , since its a 'boutique amp' i keep thinking that it shouldnt really disappoint me. and the price is just abit more. not really ALOT to add on.

What? Orange? Boutique amp?

Just try the amps that you're mentioning to hear the differences. MG series from Marshall is complete crap. Vox, Fender, and Orange amps on the other hand.... is good deal for the money.

metal bands use mesa dual rectifiers, 5150s, 6505s, engls and all sorts of brootal amps. its not practical to have a half stack in ur house right?

so lets say, slash uses a jcm800 marshall. so u think wow slash uses a marshall so i want one. i shall go buy the 15w marshall mg.

WRONG

u'll get no where near close to his tone anyday. so please u have a lot of misconceptions u really need to clear up dude. do not care abt what band uses what gear. thats a very bad way of gauging how good something is.

i was just curious. okay, the marshall sucks, i get it already. so which is 'better' in terms of cleans and pedal handling? Orange Crush 15 Or Fender Frontman 15. thats all i need now.

fender frontman wins hands down. and its much much cheaper. go on get the orange if u think the orange tolex is nicer.

i've nvr heard a bedroom solid state amp have such brilliant cleans. ever. and imo that amp has the best reverb in a solid state practise amp. its a perfect bedroom amp. i need to freaking get one..

oh and i must add on, when i tried the orange crush. i tried the 30w one. and its drive is actually quite cool for my liking. no where near heavy metal. but a pleasing crunchy rough overdrive. reminds me of the early old school metal.
