If you're talking about the band, you definitely have to buy their first album (can't remember what its called), its their best work, so beautiful and heartwrenching...

this one not entirely sigus ros, but imho, is one of my favourite among the rest of their releases. It is best for play back, when

1) On deathbed
2) watching people close to you with their life coming to the end
3) theres many regrets in your life
4) you hate yourself,
5) you love yourself too much
6) you think getting slow is towards bliss and chaos mixed together
7) you can start to stop listening and let everything else take over
8 ) you realised that more then often, you talk to yourself
9) you want to watch the world around you and yet wanting to be in your own world
10) everything is over

You've had a bad or tiring day, and you're at the very back corner seat of the bus where there's the big emergency exit door. It's peak hour. The sky's in shades of blue with a touch of other colours. You look out the big window, watch all the vehicles and their headlights go by.

Listen to Sigur Ros.

gahhhhhh. I love Sigur Ros. Love love love!
Sigur Ros is like, postcard music.
:P
very... scenic.(yeah, proper word would be ambientic)

chitchooo hooooo ooooohhhhhh!!!!

Sigur ros is a bit of an acquired taste. () sucked. The song structures/feel were basically the same for most tracks. agaetis was ok, but not exactly groundbreaking. Takk's a lot more rock like and is the strongest album of the lot. The hilmar collab was a little disappointing.

The one that is interesting is odin's raven magic. Only available in bootleg. Also with hilmar.

ya, so true, can easily fall asleep

(yeah, proper word would be ambientic)

you stole that word from me.....its not even a proper word, just that i use it =P

sigure ros is nice, almost everytime i need to sleep, i play their music, or when studying......so i can sleep, hahaha, jkjk

Ágætis Byrjun, mi fav album, really nice and relaxing throughout the whole listen

Svefn-g-englar, mi fav song, simple, low bpm, relxaing, innovative, dreamy, and since i haf no idea wads hes singing abt (its abt giving birth if im nt wrong) it can mean anything, i can rem watchin a vid of their live performance, i fell asleep halfway watchin it

as for their takk album, i find it a bit harder to fall asleep to, hahaha, and as ac has pointed out, it does have a slightly more rock feel to it

Saw them in HK last year on their Takk tour. One of the best concerts i've been to. Visually mindblowing together with the intensity of the music. Hair-stand-on-end kind of music.

They opened with the staged covered by a white translucent screen and the band silhouetted 10 feet tall onto it, images projected in front of the screen started to meld with the strains of the violins and bass.

something like this.
