Opinions on Hamer XT series

Hihi fellow softies! I just like to know what u guys like or don't like abt the Hamer XT series guitars particularly their standard model (explorer) and korina explorer. For those of you who have owned one before pls share ur experiences cause I am actually planning to get one myself, and I just wanna use this as a chance to ascertain myself after doing much research on the web. why do you have to rely so much on other people's opinions instead of forming one yourself by testing the guitar yourself?

Some factors such as tuning stability, reliability after frequent use, etc. cannot be determined by simply testing it out in a shop.

eugene ure right, its better to get opinions from users. that's why we read reviews and its hard to get reviews on hamer guitars around the web cos ive been searchin for revies on the hamer calq model in particular. From what i noe, hamer produces guitars with mordern looks/colors on classical/vintage shaped guitars but at the same time its guitars have a vintage feel and sounding, and Hamer guitars are top notch american guitars. So i think they're pretty reliable. But still testing it out first ensures ur liking on the instrument.

Yup i will definitely try them out extensively once time permits it. Well of course i will not make a decision just purely basing on opinions but i do believe that the best opinions and reviews r from people who actually own the guitar before just like what eugenesmasher said. Hmmm sadly Hamer guitars r underrated and it's tough to find much info on the web......all i know is that their american made variants r really top notch with lots of quality. As for the XT series that's not american made, there isn't much discussed abt them. Most of the limited reviews i found said that they r made with quality wood and hardware, and most importantly very affordable! City music is selling them for less than $500!

I hope that fellow softies who have the relevant info can enlighten us more oN these guitars, thanx thanx.

I have a used SATQ in Tobacco Sunburst I got for 200+. Buzzed abit at first but after some DIY Fretwork it plays great. Looks and sounds great with stock pups too. Mind-blowing value for money.

Waoh cool mutantbanana, so in ur opinion wats the most important mod/mods u need to do to the hamer explorer in order to make it feel and play rite? Btw wat are the pickups that came with ur hamer explorer?
