After several threads on Davis Guitar that i saw here, i'll think i want to post something "different" to start a new year :)

Today is 2nd time i went there. First time was when i bought picks. Today is when i did a restring as well as adjustment and changing machine head.

In short, all i can say, their services are excellent. i didn't meet any negative experiences. When i bought picks a month ago (i think), the uncle waited patiently while i sorted out what picks i wanted to buy for full 25 minutes....

Today, all of the staffs are helpful as well... The adjustments and other services performed are very well.. My guitar sounded way much better than before. And services are done with smiles and clear explanation by everybody i met.

All in all, i got good services and all are done patiently, even though the shops are very crowded .

So, Thumbs Up and Thank you for all your help, Davis guitar :)

Cheers and Happy New Year 2009 :)

Well, those were true, guys.... when i went there 2 times, those were what happened... no, i'm not davis employee and i don't get paid to do advertisement :). i just put what happened as they were, as i believe, in our modern world , where complaints and negative feedbacks are common, positive feedbacks are rarely told, so , i guess i just believe in sharing positive experiences that i have :)

Cheers Guys.... Happy New Year again :)

I've never had a problem with Davis guitar either, they were friendly and very polite to me when i wanted to buy stuff.. so cheers everyone! and Happy new year

Never had any negative experiences.. Was there to get my PRS and ESP guitar... Janet was really very helpful and her knowleage in ESP really impress me =)

i think they're only nice if you look like you're getting something. if you're just patronizing them, they don't seem to care

Well... Maybe sometime we got to put ourself in their shoes.. Some people are just there for fun and never wanted to buy and they tried this guitar and that end up maybe they broke it or chip off some parts if one day you happen that u really wanna buy that guitar will u be piss off?.. There really too many ppl in the shop everyday and i think is how you behave play a part too. Alot of their things are really cheap.. esp their ESP guitar....

i like davies, contary to all or what ppl say abt that shop. they are customer oriented service gets thumbs up. u just need to practice a bit of patience and than u get full attention. janet give me good service *grinz*

Sometimes we have to check the history of what has happened in the shop before.

I have heard several stories..one notable one :

A student in sch uniform was trying out a guitar at Davis.. upon returning it to its rack, he replaced it with the use of 'force'.. Obviously this ' force ' was too strong and the guitar jerked about causing 9 other guitars to fall like dominos..

He ran out of the shop.

I think its because of cases like this that several shop owners not only Davis are kinda weary before letting their customers try things ( Especially the guitars. )

Personally the service ive experienced from Davis isnt fantastic but it hasnt been anywhere near negative at all. :D

i've actually experienced this before.
i went with a friend to davis to get some strings and the auntie served me really well, but she snubbed my friend LOL.

never had any problems buying things from Davis. haven't really bought any big purchases from them though. mainly strings and parts etc.

Thanks to the threadstarter for complimenting music store. It is indeed a tough business to be in.

I will close this thread now.
