1. too much 'holding back' to the point of not in time.
2. the melody is not remember-able

but gotta agree with soft, it seems you are "holding back" and not focus ... but it suits the title anyway

Recording is almost the same as performance ... to make lesser mistake you gotta warm up a bit before doing the recording ... to relax and make yourself focus ... then after that just whack and impro

hmmm best trick to make a memorable melody is to sing it
