It really sounds pleasant. That singing quality of the flute :D

One can only imagine what would happen if you had a sweet ochestral backing to that

not bad not bad , got some potential... :D

but somehow i feel that certain parts of the song , it sounded more like a recorder instead of a flute..no offence though...did u so happen to suddenly blow too much air so much so that the pitch became a bit out of tune? or maybe it was my ears playing tricks on me? :?

I love Bach classics especially his Aria from Goldberg Variations on Piano :D

What key is the song in btw?

hahaha...mayb la....sometimes concentration not there then everything haywire...argh...got 1 major hiccup in the recording...hahaha...the mic makes the flute sound flat

Its originally in G major...but thats for a cello solo...so the book arranger transposed it 1 step down to Bb major...i tink ah...if thats wad i read properly... :D

wait a sec...ok im blur

wah...i jux listened to it this morning...HECKA OF A LOT OF MISTAKES AND HORRID BREATHING PLACES! 8O

*runs to practice

You've got to work on your:

1. Timing
2. Diaphragm and breathing

Really, the Bach's Gigue is not easy especially the place when you have to jump intervals. What audition are you going for? I do not suggest this piece for your audition - it is technically difficult and will expose a lot of your shortcomings. Go for something slower. Don't use too much vibrato - get the breathing and timing right first. Still, a brave try! Bach is not easy.

As for timing...im playing solo so...its more of ad lib...

it's not just the timing as in tempo, but you have to even out the length of each note. each semiquaver, quaver or crotchet must be played with consistency. one quaver should not be faster/shorter than another, which was what i heard in your playing.

and always remember.. in baroque music, no rubato allowed - if that's what u meant by ad lib.

your audition over already? but anyway, just to share some pointers with you.

i meant ad lib as in...go on my own instinct...

ah thx for the pointers anw...

*scared for audition*
