Here's my take on Steve Vai's hit...I've stopped just before the part where his strings and whammy bar go really crazy.

I've got no whammy bar on this guitar I used...so some parts can't really be played exactly it should...and no wah on the effects too...

errr....boss gt-6. patch number 3 is called "3-stack drive". put a 'lil more reverb and delay on it. nothing else!

um...yeah bends...there's one at 2:04 with a descending note that's actually achieved by the whammy bar, but I used a finger to tap on a bent-up note, holding it and going down together with the left finger...if you know what I mean...sorry if i sound confusing!
