OM: comfortably numb(new attempt, fixed reverbs)!

thanks.. if you like it, you should go listen to the original version by pink floyd, or the live versions of comfortably numbs, i got alot of my inspirations from many of the live solos.

Oh yeah, i heard David Gilmour uses some kind of effects/pedals, where some notes he can sustain longer..

I think he just uses his fingers and the whammy bar, he uses the whammy bar alot to sustain

hifi, nice playin but some parts, the timing sounds abit off for the first one maybe is the reverb, the second one is better. Nice tone. Nice to see another David Gimour fan here!

Er tone wise, i think the reverb can still be cut further haha. Still v blur sounding now tho.

Playing wise, still ran of out ideas after abt the 1 min mark? Probably u can roughly plan ur solo before u record like come up with some licks first, rather than dive straight in and try to improvise as u go. Kinda shows in the recording imo.

U may also play outside the extended pentatonic box shape, like go and octave higher/lower, use some other scale, do some scale runs etc. Makes ur solo sound more varied. Or u can work on a central theme which i always like to do, and vary the lick alittle here and there.

Towards the end of the recording there's this part where the drum starts crashing on every beat. Kinda like a climax and a place where u can play something tt goes along with the crashing like accenting on tt beat.

Just more suggestions :)

no i don't think so. Yeah, the whammy bar is 1 thing. But i heard from somewhere he uses a special pedal to sustain some notes.. it is not known though..
