I heard a lot of bad things about Cleartones so I doubt I'm going to try them anytime soon unless I have extra cash. But for coated strings, my vote goes to Dean Markley Alchemys because they sound great, lasted very long, and sounded great straight after re-stringing, so if I need to restring my guitar and the show's just the next day (or even a few hours away), I'd head to Davis and grab a pack of Alchemys. And they're cheaper than most coated strings, a $16.
Now, if they would make Alchemys for electric as well, I'd switch over to Dean Markley.
