hi. recently i noticed that my amp sometimes sort of turns off when i go on overdrive then it comes back on randomly. 'has this sound like some sort of engine starting before the distortion come back on then it goes back off and on randomly.' i'm quite sure its not my guitar as i've tested it on clean and it runs perfectly, 'or isit?' . if lets say its my amps overdrives' fault can i just get a distortion pedal and fix this problem? its a marshall mg15cdr btw got it from a fellow softie. anyone can give abit of advice on this? thx.=)

4 outcomes

- repair the amp
- get new amp
- get a distortion pedal and play with amp in clean channel
- live with the current condition

if i were u, i'd get a new amp.

see how much it cost for repairs, if its not worth it, just get a new amp.
not a fan of low end marshalls

Marshall MG series? its made in India
a digital amps... i tried a bigger MG i forgot the wattage 100 or 120 watt

no offence
i don't like the sound, don't like the distortion, don't like the multiFX... its thin, and dry ... awful ..

i think u better buy a new amps
if u like a digital amps
Roland Cube is definitely better than this Marshall MG

if ur looking for good analog amps and low budget (u will not get the digi-FX)
ibanez TBX is good... choose 30 - 60 watt or above
or orange amps...

maybe there are alr many threads out there, but if anybody don mind, may i ask again where t get th roland cube and th price range for it? cos ive gt an MG series too and im not reli satisfied with it too.

Sweelee sells the Roland Cubes.
I'm not sure about the 10x (or is it 15x?), and 30x, but the 20x goes for about $250.

give them a call, i might be wrong.
