noise in my guitar

hi, how come there's noise(quite loud) from my guitar, is there anyway to reduce the noise. Where does the problem come from, is there anyway to find out like is isit because of pickup wiring, or input jack wiring?
i'm using a mexican fender fat strat HSS configuration, the sound coming out is good except there's a "zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz" sound behind.. i believe single coil does give out some noise, but seems like all my pickups and the humbucker is giving noise, but i can trace from where..
my other ibanez HSH doesn't have this problem
any advice?

urm.. does that noise exist when the volume knob is at zero? since u said the ibanez doesnt have that problem, then i think its safe to assume that it isnt an issue with the amp. possibly a grounding problem with the pickups. ive some 80s single coils, hardly any noise from them.

since you say your humbucker also gives out noise, it's not merely a 60-cycle hum problem.

1) have you ever modified your guitar wiring before? if you happened to have reverse the wires at the input jack hot/ground, there will be noise.

2) the noise could be from the amp. do you have a problem when u use the strat elsewhere?

3) are you playing close to any electrical source that may introduce noise interference? a fan or something similar?

Previously I had that problem too. Like some sort of crazy static? All I did was to tweak the 3pin/2pin plug a little and the sound disappeared, guess it's the grounding problem.
Anyhow, just try moving the plug here and there, pushing it in and out and stuff.
Sometimes the simplest solutions are the best. But what do I know?

ground wire connection came loose from your trem claw perhaps? is it a sudden occurance or was it always like that?

thanks, its a sudden problem, previous doesn't have so loud noise..
what i did was change a pickup assembly...
maybe i shld try resolder the input jack wires with the wire switch the other way round?

thanks.....gotta try
