its a gig for people who appreciate it. people to enjoy the music played. people who want to noe more about the issue. not for dumbf*cks. the gig does not care about profits or anything. its about having fun and talking about issues. even zai kuning, rahmat haron and mindfckingboy is not exactly "punk" music.

tieren maybe u could either do a background check or at least think before sayin your 2cents.

From the substation website:

Depression is a real issue at hand, which at times, no medicine can cure. There has to be an emotional and spiritual shoulder we all should be able to lean on from time to time. Depression can be a spawn of our own differences in life, of not belonging, of being victims of oppression in any form of capacity. Of alienation, of loneliness, of lack of morale, of loss, of spite. Of simply being different.

Would you share your problems with strangers? what more with a whole big bunch of em. If you have problems, some people might not want others to know they have em. And seeing some posts around here, some people stereotype 'emo' people, so, going to the gig would typically label you as 'emo'. Yea you can accuse them of not knowing and understanding, but the fact remains that you don't people to think that way of you.

So my whole point is that not all depressed people are open about that. Yes i do think, thank you.

haha, "don't like don't read" makes no sense when you have to read first to know whether you like it or not. seriously no seriously.

More like some people KEEP reading it.

Then think, "wah lao, he say until like that, cannot... cannot..."

5 mins later,

"Wah kao, that guy at soft ah..."

etc etc.

ok im just pissed at the "for emo people" commented...

sort of insulted actually... yeah maybe its a joke

but still im not laughing... so yeah im done

i think generally speaking, if people learnt to laugh at themselves a little more and take everything a little less personally, perhaps they'd be less depressed.

that said, this would only apply to people who aren't chronically depressed. most camps generally agree these days that chronic depression is caused by chemical imbalances in the brain, not because of a lack of humor.
